At the Berkeley Teenage Championships, 18-year-old Mike Ferraro, of Buffalo, is receiving the Mr. Teenager award from National WL Chairman Clarence Johnson. Mike is York trained (Ken Stoller's York A.C.) and also won the Most Muscular title.
Here is a picture of a picture-snapped directly from a TV screen as our To The Ladies Editor, Vera Christensen, fooled the panel on WHAT'S MY LINE. She is seated next to John Daly, famous moderator. Nobody guessed that petite and pretty Christy was a weightlifter!
Just how OLD do you gotta be before you give up your barbells? This is Tom Rolewicz, Chicago, who still works out almost daily with his big globe bells: Tom a young and snappy 83, and is active as a wrestling promoter. He used to wrestle himself, and has lifted weights for more than fifty years.

BOB HISE, the erstwhile Tennessean who went Hollywood several years back, has gone all through the Chairs of the Southern California Weightlifting Association and this year becomes President of that august body. Another Robert-ROBERT CAYEUX, of Paris, France, recently sent this letter to the U. S. Information Center:

Two Hands Clean Jerk held by RIGOULOT at 4024 lbs. for the past 24 years. I can inform you that CHARLES RIGOULOT has officially jerked 410 lbs., the bar having been weighed and a certificate having been made out on the same day, but the French Federation which is an association for amateurs has never entered this figure in its list of records. Moreover, CHARLES RIGOULOT who used to compete on ten lifts could easily have succeeded with 440 lbs. if he had specialized on just the Three Olympic Lifts. It is obvious that one cannot expect a decathlon athlete to be a world record holder in all the ten tests. Furthermore, CHARLES RIGOULOT used to lift a globe type (Continued on page 51)
